My journey has been extended. I entered this industry a few years ago because I was drawn to the job. I didn’t know what I wanted or how to find it, but I knew I had to find a way. My first foray into the industry was working in a few adult venues. My first foray was calling ads in the back of the newspaper for “erotic bars” or whatever. I came for the interview and was hired right away. Soon, after about 15 minutes of conversation with a submissive customer, the owner sent me inside. It was funny. I didn’t expect that, so I just wore regular nice clothes. That day, I did my first two sessions wearing only underwear. But that day, I also knew I found my calling—or at least one of them. I have many callings.
After that, I spent about a year and a half doing erotic sex in a commercial dungeon
I organized fetish parties and gave classes on erotic sex. As I learned and explored, I discovered my true passion and developed specific skills that required a lot of practice, such as impact play, erotic sex with ropes, and piercing. I have found that I am particularly interested in creating cathartic moments. I am very interested in world religions, meditation, human sexuality, the body, the human brain, regulating the nervous system and ways to heal and process trauma. I am often amazed at how our brains turn childhood trauma into fetishes. What an amazing and powerful ability to find ways to derive pleasure from past traumas. These interests naturally lead me to erotic sex and things that overlap with it. I am also a certified yoga teacher trained in various other bodywork and movement forms, influencing how I approach my work and relationships.
How has this industry changed erotic sex when you started?
Oh, so strong!! Like many things, the most significant change is technology. When I started, erotic sex was nearing the end, and it was just pagers. Some places advertised on the internet and had websites, but erotic sex was like that. We relied heavily on newspaper and phone book ads. I would go to work erotic sex shifts and have to sit by a landline and wait for calls. We weren’t allowed to use the phone for private calls, and we didn’t have any erotic sex, so I spent a lot of time reading when there were no customers. When I started my own business a few years later, the internet and erotic sex became mainstream and everything changed. It made it much easier to start a business as an independent vendor. It also made the industry a lot less anonymous, both on the supply and erotic side. Now, our pictures are publicly available on the internet, and we have erotic sex on our phones, under our real names, etc. It was a completely different world. I think it made the industry safer. Everyone could take steps to report inappropriate sexual behavior, vet providers, and check referrals. It was better.
